🚧 Construction Update: Building the Future of Colonial! 🚧

Exciting progress is underway across the district as we continue investing in safe, accessible and modern spaces for our students and community.

🏫 New Leach School
The building pad is fully prepared, and concrete work is scheduled to begin this week. A groundbreaking celebration is planned for fall 2026, when students can safely and fully participate.

🏟️ William Penn Athletic Complex
The project is expected to go out for bid this month, with groundbreaking anticipated by the end of the summer. The first turf field is expected to be ready for the spring 2027 sports season!

🔨 William Penn Roof
Roof replacement is underway over the E and W sections of the building, including the Unit 2 gym area. Work remains on schedule.

🚜 Gunning Bedford Complex
Construction is in full swing! ADA-accessible pathways are ready for final paving, foundations have been poured for the baseball and softball dugouts, and old asphalt curbs have been removed to make way for new concrete curbs. Updates to the track are also underway, with completion expected by the end of the summer.
